My first blog post of hopefully many! I have migrated my static html webpage to a static site generator (SSG) called Astro to add this blogging functionality. My main choices were between using Jekyll and Astro, with Jekyll being the more popular for blogging but ultimately chose Astro because of my familiarity with Typescript.

It was not too bad, and only took a short evening to get up and running.
